Description

Vinification and ageing: it begins with skin maceration in thermoregulatory vats for about six days. After racking, within a fortnight, the alcoholic fermentation in steel is complete. The wine is then placed in second and third pass barrels in order to obtain a malolactic fermentation at a constant temperature of 20° for two months. At the end of this phase, it is put into barrels again for a further two months. The ageing of the wood ends with a period of four months in large barrels. Finally, it is left to decant in steel tanks for a few months and then bottled without filtration. Before being marketed, the wine rests in the bottle for three months.

Tasting characteristics: intense ruby red colour with slight garnet reflections, it opens on the nose with fresh aromas of wild roses and red fruits. It is a generously full-bodied wine, but it is tempered by delicate velvety notes that balance the typical complexity of the vine with a pleasant sensation of freshness and good persistence. Ageing in the bottle gives the product complexity and pleasure for the next ten years.
