With notes of honey and chocolate. Salvadoran coffee is typical of Central America, light, aromatic, fragrant, slightly sweet, very balanced, and with low acidity. The best is called "SHG" (Strictly High Grown) and means it's grown at over 1,200 meters above sea level. As in Guatemala and Costa Rica, coffee is classified by plantation altitude: the higher the altitude, the better the quality. The medium roast brings out honey and chocolate notes in the cup.
